Vocal concepts and exercises used to establish healthy vocal technique include:

Cooperato exercise encourages the use of the thin edges of the vocal cords

Low laryrnx with low abdominal and back breaths

Tongue exercises to release the back bunching of the tongue as well as to keep it in the "ng" position

Learning to sing on compressed air, not loose air

Nose open, with air traveling through it

High soft palette with jaw back and down

"Alleluia" to move through passagio without vowels spreading

Learning to open the top resonators

Singing with pharyngeal vowels

"Mind-over-the-body" and becoming aware of what the body is doing and how it feels when you sing
